Bárbara Gragirena is an art director specialized in animated feature films.
She crafts unique visual identities that reflect each story’s message and emotional tone.

Based in Spain and working internationally, she creates immersive visual worlds that deepen the narrative and connect with audiences. Her approach blends storytelling, design, and seamless collaboration with production teams to ensure clarity, cohesion, and creative flow.

She is currently developing two short films exploring personal transformation, and leads Truxa Muxa, a creative residency for artists in animation and video games.

Latest feature film: La Luz de Aisha

I’m drawn to stories that combine strong visual language with emotional depth.

I love projects that live somewhere between rock energy, sci-fi nostalgia, dark musicals, and quiet, intimate narratives.
Whether it’s animated series, games, or films, I’m interested in visual worlds that leave a mark — projects that connect, transform, or simply make someone feel seen.

These are the latest projects where I’ve been growing, creating, and sharing experiences with incredible teams along the way.

Each image explores atmosphere, light, and emotion — translating what I see into visual storytelling through composition and tone. I try to paint everyday to sharpen my artistic vision — like a personal storyboard workout.
Discipline trains inspiration, and inspiration feeds storytelling.

Both this website and my portfolio are a work in progress — but I love Jake Parker’s phrase: “finished, not perfect.”
